Established in 1978 as an importer and sole distributor of Casio and Pioneer products, Monaco has grown to be the leading sales and marketing distribution company in
New Zealand.
While Casio and Pioneer remain an important part of Monaco’s consumer electronics business, the company is also strongly represented within the kitchen appliance and housewares segment.
Company owned brands such as Omega, Everdure, Robinhood, Everdure by Heston Blumenthal and Omega Altise provide innovative seasonal, kitchen and laundry products to consumers with a strong focus on design and functionality.
Monaco distributes to a large and diverse customer base which includes most of the country’s leading appliance retailers, independent housewares stores, department and jewellery chains as well as DIY. Monaco’s infrastructure and continued investment is systems and operational procedure ensures we create value to our stakeholders.

Shriro has a trading history spanning more than 32 years and has a long association with the Casio brand, having distributed Casio’s products in Australia since 1982. Since 2001, Shriro has implemented a growth strategy focused on selective brand acquisitions and new product development and innovation, starting with the acquisition of Everdure in that year. In 2010, Shriro acquired Monaco Corporation which expanded the Group into New Zealand.
In 2011, Shriro acquired Hagemeyer Brands, the distributor and marketer of home appliance and lifestyle brands such as Omega, Blanco and Omega Altise. In 2013 the Group acquired Robinhood.
